The Kailua Village Artists will hold its annual “All Member Artists Reception and Holiday Charity Tree Ornament Sale” tonight from 5 to 7:30 at its Kona Marketplace gallery. During the event, the public can meet all KVA member artists and enjoy light pupu, refreshments and entertainment.

The Kailua Village Artists will hold its annual “All Member Artists Reception and Holiday Charity Tree Ornament Sale” tonight from 5 to 7:30 at its Kona Marketplace gallery. During the event, the public can meet all KVA member artists and enjoy light pupu, refreshments and entertainment.

Each of KVA’s 11 member artists have been working on a dozen ornaments for the group’s biggest charity event of the year. The handcrafted, original ornaments for charity are KVA’s group effort and commitment to give back to the community. All proceeds of the ornament sales from the Holiday Charity Tree at the reception and through the month of December will benefit Friends of the Children of West Hawaii.

Member artists taking part in the event are Kathleen Carr, photography; Stefanie Culbertson, watercolors; Betty Gerstner, porcelain and watercolors; Bill Jaeger, stained glass; Kathleen Jaeger, acrylics, mixed media, and mosaics; Marilyn Koschella, oils and crocheted lei; Leslie Munger, chain maille jewelry; Christal Nylin, oils; Linda Savell, ceramics and diachronic glass jewelry; Whitney Steele, photography; and Pamela Colton Thomas, mixed media. Guest artists include Frank Andrews, welded copper; Rachel Baker, fused glass; Hugh Jenkins and Stephanie Ross, glass blowing; Brad Lewis, photography; Dale Moore, wood turning; Bill Twibell, gyotaku (fish printing); and Syd Vierra, wood turner.

The gallery is located at 75-5729 Alii Drive, Suite C-110, in Kona Marketplace on Alii Drive. The gallery is open 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
